You have decided to upgrade from the Free plugin to Burst Pro but don’t know how to do this. Follow the instructions in this article to upgrade to Burst Pro! I’m assuming you already purchased Burst Pro, but if not, you can do so here!
Option 1 – Use the automatic installer
If you have the free version of Burst Statistics on your site, by far the easiest method is to use our automatic installer. Go to the account page, scroll the the bottom to find the automatic installation form. Enter your domain, and click “Install Burst Pro”. It will take care of your license activation, and will deactivate the free plugin for you.
You’re done!
If for some reason you might run into problems, you can also do a manual installation (see below).
Option 2 – Manual installation
Step 1 – Download from e-mail
After your purchase, you will receive a confirmation email containing your license key and a download link for the Pro version.
Important: For security reasons, the download link is only valid for 72 hours. If your link has expired, you can always download the plugin from your account dashboard on our website.
Step 2 – Uploading Burst Pro to Your Website
- Download the
.zipfile from your email. - Log in to your WordPress back-end (/wp-admin).
- Navigate to Plugins > Add New and click Upload Plugin.
- Select the burst-pro.zip file and click Install Now.
- After installation, click Activate to enable Burst Pro.
Step 3 – Activate Your License
To receive updates and to unlock all Pro features, you need to activate your license:
- Go to Burst > Settings > License in your WordPress dashboard.
- Enter your license key from the confirmation email.
- Click Activate License to enable all Pro features.
Without an active license, Pro features will not work, so make sure this step is completed.
