One of the most overlooked features in Burst Statistics is also one of the most powerful: the ability to share any dashboard view with a single link. The person you share it with does not need a WordPress account, making it effortless to collaborate with co-workers or present data to clients.
What you can share
Before generating a link, set up the exact view you want to share:
- Set the date range (for example: January 1 – December 31, 2025)
- Apply any filters you need, such as a specific page URL, referrer, country, or campaign source
- Switch to the tab you want the viewer to land on first (Insights, Sources, or Sales)
Once your view is ready, click the share button next to the date picker in the top bar of the dashboard.

The share interface
Clicking the share button opens a panel with a few options before you generate the link.
What you’re sharing shows a summary of the current view: the active tab, date range, and any filters that are applied. This helps you confirm you’re sharing exactly what you intend.
Link expires in lets you control how long the link stays active. You can set it to expire after 24 hours, a week, a month, or longer, depending on how sensitive the data is or how long you need the recipient to have access.
Advanced options let you decide what the viewer is allowed to do:
- Change date range: allow the viewer to adjust the date range themselves
- Change filters: allow the viewer to apply or remove filters
- Access to tabs: choose which tabs (Insights, Sources, Sales) the viewer can navigate to
Once you have configured everything, click Generate shareable link. The link appears directly below the button and can be copied with a single click. Any previously generated links are listed there as well, so you can manage or revoke them at any time.

A note on privacy: anyone who has the link can view your statistics for as long as it remains active. Share it thoughtfully, and use the expiration setting to limit access when appropriate.
Story reports: Build and share custom reports (Pro feature)
If you want to go beyond sharing a live dashboard view, Story reports take sharing to the next level. Instead of handing someone a link to the standard dashboard, you compose a fully custom report from individual dashboard blocks (charts, tables, summaries) and arrange them exactly the way you want.
Story Reports are automatically emailed to your recipients on a schedule you define, so your clients or stakeholders receive fresh insights without ever having to log in or visit your site. Like dashboard share links, recipients do not need a WordPress account.
This makes Story Reports ideal for:
- Sending monthly performance summaries to clients
- Keeping a team informed with automatically scheduled reports
- Presenting data in a clean, branded layout rather than the full dashboard interface
Story reports are a Pro feature and available in the Burst Pro plan.
Whether you need a quick link for a one-off conversation or a recurring automated report for a long-term client, Burst Statistics gives you the tools to share data professionally and without the friction of account management.
