Short code

I run a small hosting company and would like my clients to be able to see their own metrix. With a short code I can make a simple password protected page on their on domain (like domain.xyz/stats).

  1. Hi Stef G,

I think we have a better way of displaying statistics to your clients. In the next version we will add better capabilities. WIth these capabilities you can give your clients persmission to view and/or edit the Burst Statistics pages. If you just want to let users view and not edit any settings you can do that.

If you’re clients don’t have an account yet, you can add an account with a custom user role. You can give this users just the capabilities to view the Burst Statistics pages. This way they have a password protected place where they can see their Insights.

If you’d like I can already give you the pre-release version where this is possible.
As of now we don’t see a good use case for a short code. Also a shortcode with all your data may lead to unwanted dateleaks.

I hope this explains why we will not be adding a shortcode in the near future. If you think this is still necessary, please eleborate why you think it is.

    Kind regards,
    Hessel

  2. Hi Hessel,

Thanks for your answer. I’ll wait for the next release and see what I can do with it.

  3. Hi,

Has displaying statistics to clients (in some way) been developed or planned?

Asking here because it was supposed to be “in the next version”, but I can’t see anything related in the dashboard.

  4. Hi Nicioner,

Sorry for the late reply. I didn’t see your comment until now.

I’m unsure what you mean by ‘displaying statistics to clients’. Do you want to display statistics on your front end? Do you want to send an email report from Burst? Do you want to add a user that has viewing rights? Maybe you can share where you’ve read that it will be released in the next version?

    Kind regards,
    Hessel
